These terms govern access to and use of the Otalan dashboard and related OTA release management services.

Service scope

Otalan provides tools for managing OTA bundle publishing, rollout controls, analytics, project access, and related release operations for Capacitor and Expo applications.

The service processes account details, uploaded bundles, and delivery telemetry needed to operate the product.

Otalan is operated independently and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or authorized by Expo or Capawesome; references to those products are used only to describe compatible integrations.

Accounts and access

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your account or API credentials.

Organization owners and administrators are responsible for granting, reviewing, and revoking access for team members, automation flows, and external integrations.

Acceptable use

You may use the service only for lawful purposes and only in connection with software, content, and release artifacts you are authorized to manage.

  • Do not upload malicious code, unlawful material, or content that infringes third-party rights.
  • Do not interfere with the availability, integrity, or security of the service.
  • Do not attempt unauthorized access to accounts, projects, infrastructure, or data.

Customer content

You retain responsibility for release bundles, metadata, release notes, API keys, download URLs, and any other content you upload or configure in the dashboard.

You represent that you have the rights needed to store, process, publish, and distribute that content through the service.

Billing and suspension

Paid features, transfer limits, storage quotas, and storage options may be subject to a subscription or other commercial terms selected for the organization.

Accounts may be limited, suspended, or made read-only for overdue payments, abuse, security incidents, or material violations of these terms.

Availability and changes

The service may evolve over time. Features may be updated, added, restricted, or removed to improve reliability, security, compliance, or product direction.

Reasonable maintenance windows, outages, or emergency interventions may occur. You should keep backup procedures and release recovery practices appropriate to your own production requirements.

Intellectual property

The service, including the dashboard software, interface, branding, and related materials, remains the property of its owners and licensors except for customer content that you upload.

These terms grant a limited right to use the service for your internal business purposes during the applicable subscription or authorized access period.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided on an as-available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, no warranty is given that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data arising from use of the service.

You are responsible for fully testing each release in a local or staging environment before production exposure, including the update path, app launch after update, rollback behavior, and runtimeVersion compatibility.

  • OTA releases may change app behavior without a new app-store review, so you must validate your own critical scenarios before increasing rollout.
  • Otalan is not responsible if your application breaks, becomes unavailable, loses data, or behaves unexpectedly because of your bundles, dependencies, runtime configuration, third-party systems, or publish and rollback decisions.
  • Keep a known-good bundle available and test your local or staging rollback procedure before relying on it to protect production users.

Termination

Access may be terminated or suspended if these terms are violated, if required by law, or if the service is discontinued.

Upon termination, your right to use the service ends immediately, but provisions that reasonably should survive termination will remain in effect.
