Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information is processed when you use the Otalan dashboard and related OTA release management services.

Last updated May 13, 2026

01

Information we process

The service may process account details such as names, email addresses, organization membership, authentication records, and activity related to dashboard usage.

It also processes operational data you choose to upload or generate, including project names, app identifiers, release metadata, rollout settings, analytics events, API key records, storage references, and audit-related information.

02

How information is used

Information is used to provide the dashboard, authenticate users, manage workspaces, publish and deliver OTA releases, support analytics, secure the platform, enforce access controls, and maintain service reliability.

  • Operate account, billing, and workspace administration features.
  • Process OTA release checks, bundle publishing, and rollout management.
  • Detect abuse, investigate incidents, and protect service integrity.
  • Improve product quality, support, and operational performance.
03

Service and customer responsibilities

Otalan processes information needed to operate accounts, billing, bundle delivery, and product support.

Customer organizations remain responsible for their app content, release decisions, end-user notices, and the systems they connect to Otalan.

References to Expo, Capawesome, Capacitor, app stores, or other third-party systems are for integration context only. Otalan is not affiliated with those third parties and does not control their privacy, security, availability, or runtime behavior.

04

Sharing of information

Information may be shared with infrastructure, authentication, billing, analytics, storage, and support providers as needed to operate the service. The hosted dashboard uses Cirtadev Analytics at analytics.cirtadev.com to understand page usage and product performance; analytics events may include page views, referrers, browser or device metadata, timestamps, and approximate location derived from network data.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to enforce terms, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer affecting the service.

05

Retention

Information is retained for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain audit and security records, and enforce agreements.

Retention periods may vary based on the deployment model, workspace settings, billing status, and operational requirements of the organization using the service.

06

Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

You are responsible for safeguarding your own credentials, API keys, connected systems, and deployment environment.

07

Cookies and local storage

The dashboard may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences such as language or layout settings, support core product functionality, and measure product usage where analytics is enabled.

08

Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law and your relationship to the service operator, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export certain personal information.

For hosted Otalan, privacy requests can be sent to contact@otalan.com. If your organization self-hosts or administers a separate deployment, contact that operator first.

09

Policy updates

This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect legal, technical, or operational changes. The latest version published in the dashboard should be treated as the current version.
